Nippon Paint India Unveils HERizons to Redefine Industry Landscapes Through Female Leadership
Nippon Paint India launches HERizons in Delhi, a strategic platform to accelerate female leadership and empower "women in motion." Featuring Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi and MD Sharad Malhotra, the event introduced the Mission SHAKTHISAT mascot and honored 18 HERizons Achievers. This initiative redefines the industry canvas through mentorship, creative storytelling, and cross-industry collaboration.
The event featured a significant appearance by Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi, Former Minister of State for External Affairs, alongside Mr. Sharad Malhotra, Managing Director of Nippon Paint India. Setting the vision for the initiative, Mr. Malhotra delivered the opening address, emphasizing the necessity for platforms that transcend mere recognition to actively facilitate collaboration, visibility, and long-term impact for women leaders across all domains. He asserted that HERizons represents a steadfast commitment to building a platform where women's potential is recognized, accelerated, and celebrated consistently, noting that the empowerment of women to lead results in the total transformation of entire industries.
In a powerful keynote address, Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi underscored the critical intersection of policy, representation, and innovation in advancing women’s empowerment across India. Bringing a national perspective to the forum, Smt. Lekhi discussed the vital role platforms like HERizons play in translating individual potential into tangible progress at a global scale. A primary highlight of the proceedings was the unveiling of the Mission SHAKTHISAT mascot, a pioneering global initiative led by Ms. Lekhi in her capacity as Global Chair to advance women’s participation in the fields of space and science. During the ceremony, Ms. Lekhi was also formally felicitated in recognition of her distinguished leadership and extensive contributions to public service and the cause of women’s empowerment.
HERizons reflects a multi-dimensional vision for growth and empowerment through three distinct pillars: HERizons Canvas, a creative platform for storytelling and artistic expression; HERizons Voices, a forum designed for dialogue and the amplification of women’s perspectives across industries; and HERizons Next, a future-focused initiative tasked with mentoring and supporting the next generation of leaders. The summit further celebrated the induction of the first cohort of HERizons Achievers, where the HERizons Change Maker Awards recognized 18 extraordinary women across fashion, design, real estate, infrastructure, education, arts, sustainability, and social impact who are actively rewriting the rules of their respective fields.
Through the formal launch of HERizons, Nippon Paint India reinforces its foundational philosophy that the company provides the essential canvas while people paint new possibilities for the future. This initiative stands as a testament to the transformative power of inclusive leadership, signaling a new era where the paint and coatings industry serves as a catalyst for societal progress and the sustained elevation of women changemakers on a global stage.
